I finished the build and though I have a couple of minor things to work out, I am very pleased with the results I have seen the outstanding job y'all have done with your builds so I am a bit nervous about putting mine up here. But I am going to, so if you see something I need to do differently please speak up.

I was out of town over the Christmas holidays but this was what I came home to! The 4 smaller boxes are tubes.



The parts were packaged very well and after going through the master list and accounting for everything the build began. First the turret board. I forgot to take shots of the backside:

I'm a nubie myself, however you might want to check the resistor on v2, should be a 100K carbon metal resitor looks like just a carbon resistor (check with stephen).

Looks good, nice build.

You might consider touching up a few joints (you have a few that look like "cold" joints) and adding a bit more solder to the turrets.

Carbon film or Metal is an option here. You might have received both or either, but carbon comp is my preferred one.

Thanks for the compliment On some of the turrets, especially the ones with only one connection, the solder would just flow down into the hole so I stopped. The connections seem solid but I will go over them again just to be sure. Thanks for the advice

Thanks for pointing out the possible cold joints. Things really show up better in the pictures, good and bad.

I received both metal and carbon film. I actually put the carbon film in there by accident and then decided I would leave it there and try it and see how it did.
