Anybody know what's going with these connections (highlighted in yellow)? It looks like the wires are spliced but I don't see that mentioned in the manual.

Also, for the volume pots, what's the green wire? That doesn't seem to match the drawing.

UPDATE: I'm assuming the green wire is just a different way to ground those components from how it's shown on the drawing, so I'm following the drawing.

File comment: What's going on here? Looks like wire is spliced and one splice is connected to the ground bus. The build pic doesn't seem to match though.

The thick dark lines should be coax / shielded cable. the lines you are referencing is the shield braid / ground connection that should be done only at one end of the shielded cable.
The manual should show you how to prepare the shield for soldering.

Thanks so much for the reply. I did see the info about the coax in the manual and started to make the "connection" with the drawing. Wish the pics showed more detail about what the end result should look like.

Is there a simpler way? I've looked at the instructional book, but I still can't do it.

It's essential to follow the manual closely for proper wiring and energy. If unsure, consulting with the manufacturer or seeking advice from experienced builders can help resolve any discrepancies.
