HI all,

New to the forum, and I am just stopping to say hello!

In the not-too-distant future, I plan to pick up a TC-15 combo. In the meantime, I'll just sit back and wait for some pics.

I must say, the new amp looks stunning in the head pics, and the classic lightning look of the "old" amp is a timeless one. Gotta love the top-mounted controls for that M_______ss vibe!

Pax,
David

jpatton is doing the first one working with us. It will be interesting considering the EF86 microphonic challenges but we have a plan & already have a cab we're going to use.

Thank you,

I was waiting for JP to post, but this will kick it off. Interesting combination of colors (purple/red) and JP sprayed the logo on the grillcloth. Tone Tubby of course!!

Allright Stephen, you've done a great job again, very neat and surprisingly colorfull
What is the cabinet size?
I can hardly wait to receive my TC15 kit and get building again.
I will start with the woodwork instead, as soon as you replied the cabinet size.
I am a DIY addict

:D Happy building to you all

Floyd,

This is a compact one: 21" W X 18.5" H X 9" D . OFf-set speaker mounting perfectly balances the amp for carrying. Production needs to be 10.5" deep to fit Alnico Tone Tubby. Mounting the chassis was the biggest challenge and involved extra holes/bolts/nuts & ingenuity. Will post some pics soon, but the chassis fits exactly inside the cabinet.

Image

We had to install 4 cage nuts on the sides and also 2 more for a total of 6 on the rear flanges.

Image

We had to add a piece to thicken up the look and provide a surface for the panel to butt up against to prevent rattles.

Hello Stephen
Thank you for your reply
The combo almost looks like some oversized Deluxe amp to me!
With the combo pictures you have pointed me into the right direction
I'll start the woodwork a.s.a.p. By the way did you use Baltic Birch 3/4 and 1/2 for the baffle?

Yes, there are some Deluxe like aspects (off set speaker) but it's pretty unique. At least, I think so. We tried to resemble the head design.

Hi Stephen
Did you delete the pics?
I just didn't have time enough to save the pictures on my hard drive, maybe the pics were prelimenary?
Perhaps i'll just wait for the final pictures to show up.
Thanks anyway

Floyd

Hey Floyd.

I was messing with the images and changed the case of the filenames. I have updated the post and the pictures are now visible.

Thanks for the post, JP and Stephen. The pictures will be helpful when I receive my TC-15 combo cab and need to mount the chassis.

Several excellent ideas went into this cabinet design. I like it!! Good work gentlemen.

This sucks! I have no clue how to work things any longer.
Anyway, this is for the 1st post.
Listen to all the clips and decide which sound is closest to yours. Then buy that kit. You'll never regret an Trinity. You'll see, lol.
Have fun. because that's all that matter's.

I'VE been watching :D Very nice. I also liked the idea of the pipe fitting for isolation.
