Has anyone tried replacing the crunch/munch and gain DPDT switches with foot switches and if so what sort of results did you get.

Haven't done anything like that. For the Crunch/Munch you'd probably need relays....skookum ones at that. You'd be switching connections with 300-400 volts on them! Might be quite a thump in the speakers too :?:
