So, Stephen, riddle me this? :)

What bolt size goes into the caged nut on your chassis? It's not the "standard" Marshall sized one that I normally see. I was messing with mine last night and had was pulling my hair. I ended up putting in some standard sized caged nuts and went with the bolts I had. ;)

That would be the Ontario reverse thread size 3.142mm uncaged nut :)

The size is 10-32. That's a number 10 screw with 32 threads per inch.
That is inches not mm. Pretty common in North America but not so common across the pond. This is for the gold combo chassis not the head chassis with the pressed in thread. Hope that helps.

The caged nut on the Lightnings are M5 (metric) but 10-32 (imperial) fits this thread as well. Best of both worlds.

There may be some chassis out there with 10-24 caged nuts in them (used in a pinch once), but that would be rare.

So, Riddler, the answer for you is 10 - 32.

For Legin, the answer for you is M 5

It's all good now, but the traditional Marshall bolts were too fat. Lots of stuff in my shop is too fat, me included. :)
