I've been trying to figure out the Lightning/Bad Cat style of making cabs with valences.

I'm aware that the valence and baffle are separate pieces in the Lightning combo cab(or extension), but are they fastened together by anything other than piping before or after being installed in the cab? Do the separate pieces affect tone any? or buzz?

Use 2- 3/4" X 3" X 1/8" metal straps (hardware store) screwed on the back-side after the piping is in place..
