ANOTHER REVERB QUESTION!

My son wants me to fit the long decay reverb tank as used in the fender standalone 5G/6G15 reverb. I've read that to use this tank the reverb needs a " Dwell control " as the fender stand alone reverb, this uses a 250k pot to bleed of some of the signal between the 1st and 2nd triodes of the 12AT7 reverb " pre-amp" tube if/as required to stop the reverb getting over excited.
Could this be done on Kurtlives scheme by fitting say a 500k pot in series with R3 and reducing R3 to 500k.
Or would this not be necesary with this 1 tube design - the reverb tank won't be getting hit with the output of a 6K6GT after all!

Try the dwell control out, it may prove very useful on the big long decay 3 spring tank. Maybe try the mod out before drilling a hole for the control.

I attached a very rough drawing to help you out. Very simple mod!
