Hi

Just finished my TC15. My first ever build. The tone is great, but its not very loud. It also breaks up almost immediately and I have almost no clean sound. Doesn't jibe with the videos of other people's TC15 builds that I have seen.

Any ideas/suggestions as to what I may have done wrong?

Thanks:)

Danny

Difficult to see for sure from your photo but is the wiring to the output transformer from the selector switch correct?

Also is your shielded cable to the 1st input at risk of shorting to ground? Looks to be exposed braid very close to the tip connection.

Thanks for those suggestions!

I will check that out for sure. I am going to go back through and check all my connections and measure voltage as wel with all tubes in and connected to speaker.

Its gotta be something somewhere:)

for those who may have read this, I have resolved my issue. I went through the schematic for a third time, measuring the DC voltage, and saw that I missed a wire!

So simple. anyway, just one wire. This shows the importance of going through all the connections. I had already gone through it twice before powering up the first time, but still missed something.

Anyway, this thing cranks now and sounds great!
