lbet came by to introduce me to some basic recording with my new gear (Lambda, Cubase LE & SM57).
After setting it up, doing some Test runs we were ready to give it a go.
I found Cubase to be a daunting app if you've never played with a S/W based recording studio. It took us a few attempts to get our test onto disk in WAV format. One time we even had to go to the manual! The buffers seem to be very important to the results and I have found some odd behaviour of the S/W I don’t like. Also the effects were challenging to insert too. These clips have 5% ambient reverb applied. lbet liked the effects that come with the program.
But I was able to mix the recordings down as my first attempts. They are some clips of
lbet playing a beautiful Les Pauland the
new Trinity Amps JTM45 . Some of the inaugural run was captured below. lbet took the amp away with him leaving me wondering if I'd ever see it again.
Hope you find them interesting. It was a learning experience. More to come.
