Well, I finished up all my soldering/components installation yesterday, and fired up the amp for the first time today....no sound :? No hum, no buzz, no nothing.

Now, after a PM from Coco, I realized I installed the shielded cable incorrectly - would that contribute to my lack of sound?

Here are my voltages as well (recommended voltages in brackets). Any help from you experienced builders out there?

Voltages:
V1
Pin 1 - 133 (120)
Pin 3 - 2 (2)
Pin 6 - 136 (123)
Pin 8 - 2 (2)

V2
Pin 1 - 167 (167)
Pin 3 - 1.1 (1.1)
Pin 6 - 210 (175)
Pin 8 - 50 (70.5)

V3
Pin 3 - 377 (380)
Pin 4 - 349 (338)
Pin 8 - 22 (22)

V4
Pin 3 - 380 (382)
Pin 4 - 349 (339)
Pin 8 - 23 (22)

Any suggestions?

Thanks! I'll be fixing my error with the shielded cable, and will make sure it's not shorting out against the tube socket.

While probing around, I noticed something else sort of strange. I was checking the capacitors to see how much charge was left, and the first orange cap after the three black caps had no charge (every other capacitor had the same charge remaining...14 volts or so left). Could this have something to do with my strange voltages on the pins of V2?

Your voltages are good - close enough for tubes amps with carbon comp resistors!!

Make ure you've got the jacks wired correctly and that piece of co-ax too.

Still no sound... :? I fixed my problem with the coax (and found another problem with the way I did it originally). Checked the build...couldn't find any other inconsistences...but I am starting to go a little screwy from staring at the board!!!

No sound at all...with the voltages being correct (as you pointed out earlier, coco) - where else should I be looking? Is this essentially a problem between the input or output jacks and the board?
