Hi everyone: relatively simple question here. Looking at the picture layout provided, the following is shown; for the Input Jack picture looking from the rear is Ground (top tab i.e. closest to you) Switch (middle tab) and Hot is bottom tab. Is that correct? Assuming it is then.....

Looking at the picture component layout provided with the kit, the 1 M resistor goes across from Ground to Switch, according to the diagram, however with the manual the photo shows the 1 M resistor going from Hot to Switch, and other photo's in the forum show the 1 M resistor going from Ground to Hot.

Which one is the correct one, where does the 1 M resistor go? Ground to Hot tab (or Switch tab), or Hot to Switch tab?

Thanks in advance
Frank Mena

It goes from Hi input jack, Hot to ground and is switched in when there is no plug in the jack. The ground in the high position is on two lugs so maybe that's the confusion? The layout and the manual (P. 29, Input Jacks) are correct.

I guess my confusion is which is the Hot tab and which is the Switch tab on the Input Jack.

Looking at the input wiring diagram the cross section of (in the top right corner of the page) the position of the tabs are 1) High tab (Ground) 2) Middle tab(Hot) 3) Bottom tab (Switch)

Looking at the input wiring diagram for Rear View of Switchcraft Jack the position of the tabs are 1) High tab (Ground) 2) Middle tab(Switch) 3) Bottom tab (Hot)

I think Ground and Hot tabs are opposite from each other.
