I’ve just started putting my kit together and have a power switch question. When installing the power switch, there is an obvious groove on the threads and a little tooth on the case that forces the switch to go in only one way. Seems like a great way to keep us newby’s from messing it up. The question I have is that when I install the switch, the lugs to solder to are pointing deep into the case and hard to get to. When I see pictures from other builds, the lugs are pointing out of the case and easier to access. When I flip the switch as it is installed, there is continuity when the switch is pointed in the “off” position and no continuity when switched to the “on” position. Am I overthinking this, or should it be the other way around?

I know I'll probably be chastised for this but I took a tapered reamer and dispensed with the nib.

This is what I thought of doing (Drexel to remove nib). Just not sure if I’m missing something. Seems like I want continuity between the switch tabs when the switch points to the “on” position. That would mean I need the switch flipped over somehow (nib would be in the way now).

Did you run into any problems from removing it? Did you get your switch in with the wiring tabs pointed toward the open part of the case (tabs upward when working on it) ?

I initially left the nibs alone. When I started testing, the switch worked backwards, so I ground off the nibs and flipped the switches over so that "on" turned the amp on. Not sure if this was my error or not. I had left extra length in the wiring to allow the turn around to be easy.
