Hey guys
I was fighting with this amp for ages, trying to figure out what was going on. My v2 pin readings were all wayy off, and the amp was being driven heavily even at low volumes. It sounded neat, but it wasn't why I bought the kit!
Turns out after a ton of help from stephen (a great guy, by the way) that one of my jumper wires under the board was going to the wrong spot. I checked multiple times from the top with a ohmmeter and never picked up on the jumper in the wrong spot, it was only when i got frustrated enough to gut the amp and start over.
Here is a shot of it with a few other amps... I dont like the way it looks all that much, but it was a quick box to get it working. I should have used epoxy and mounted a bolt right on the chasis, but instead i built the head box with a removeable bottom so i can work on it and mount it pretty easily. Just an open back cab with a 2" peice covering where the tubes are for a bit of protection
It was all done with scrap wood/scrap tolex and grill cloth, so i wasn't expecting it to look amazing
here is a picture of some amps
(the jack amps logos are an extra touch to make me feel good about my building)
