Hi all,

Still haven't launched into building my Deluxe amp kit yet. I was reading the instructions and kind of felt a bit lost! Does anybody have a step-by-step guide, or photo guide they can direct to...for the total newbie!

Thanks, Rich

I just completed a Tweed Deluxe and know where you are coming from, for me I liked the fact that it wasn't step by step as it gave me a chance to think. Once you get going you will be okay like any trip sometimes the hardest step is the first one.

I started with putting together the tube sockets, output transformer, and pots, then went with soldering up the eyelet board by following the layout diagram starting form the right side then marking off each joint as it was completed. I made sure not to solder an eyelet until all the wires going there were in place as it is hard to unsolder and install a wire after the fact.

I hope you have success as it is a good sounding little/loud amp.
Cheers :D

just separate everything by its component.

Take it slow, lay out all of your components. I like to tape them to sheets of paper with labels on everything.

Get your layout and your BOM and check off each connection as you are hooking it up. Work slow and double check things you shouldnt have any issues.

the 5E3 is an easy circuit.
