Hey, I started a new project, a 5E3 scratch build!
Hopefully I'll finish this one day

Thanks so much :o
The board came from Ken Watts at http://www.turretboards.com/
First time I've dealt with them, but Ken seems like a great guy to deal with and this board is just beautiful.
Very meticulous, Joeyvelour approved!!

Let's take a vote... Should I do all blue Teflon™ wire on this one or stick with the white??!!

+1 for Ken. I've found him great to deal with also.

Build is looking good so far...as usual!

Thank you for the link Joe.

I think you must stick with the white teflon . Since everything else is blue :D

Keep on the good work.

I am waiting for the Tramp Kit for my part.

Blue for a blues amp

White for a wedding player

Still waiting on my tweed combo cab and deluxe kit as well it will be loaded with tubes from the 1950s.

Wiring will be to the standards and colour code from my military building and repair days :)

Cool looking board...its so shiny and neat! I'm keeping a blow by blow photo account of my Deluxe build. You're using military precision, I'm using chaos theory. Love to see the whole build in blue and white! :)

Joe, that is gorgeous work, your usual of course but ours to admire! What are you using to bundle your wires - I don't recognize that material.

With craftsmanship like that you'll need a transparent panel in the cabinet to show it off!
Great job.

Hey Jim! Here's a link to a description of the lacing cord (or tape) that I used...
https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/produ ... oduct=4041

I like to use individual "NASA knots", but you can do a continuous run stitch as well like in the Hiwatts. After I tie the knots I cut off and cauterize the ends by hovering close to them with 1400F thermal strippers, then seal the knot the same way
You can see it better here...

As always your wiring is the best I've ever seen.

Amazing.

jv - a real specimen. now you may want to try the mods i discussed and harmonyofthespeheres tried as well. even better perhaps but would hate to see that thing disturbed.

Thanks Stephen, no mods needed for this thing! I played it in my friend's studio for about 5 hours yesterday and I think I saw a tear running down his face when I loaded it back in my car :P I may have to build another one!!

You can build one for me!! :D

I thought the Tweed was perfect until we started making mods. If you want more headroon, definitly remove the 25uf bypass cap on the PI. Good clean bluesy stuff up to about half volume, then blues galore.
