Just got back from recording 2 albums for a big NYC producer.

I brought the Trinity on a whim (it fit in carryon!) and wound up using it on almost everything.

Yeah, we had a Vox and a Marshall too. We put up the Vox for a minute, then took it down, and put up the Trinity again. And I endorse Vox.

One amp + one Tele + one OD pedal = 2 albums(!) and every conceivable style and texture. When you stop f*&^ing around and grow up, this is what you get.

Yeah, notice it "Fits In Carry-On"! Never tried that but it's good to know!

I've heard this amp more than a few times with a Tele and I have to say, you can nail a lot of great tones with it. Very surprising considering it's simplicity. The Tone Tubby Alnico helps too. Gold standard.

Looking forward to some tasty clips of your handy work.

Tristan is one of the best out there too. Good luck in Italy in "We Will Rock You" and when you get back here in "Rock of Ages".

Hi to Brian.

I think the Tele and the Tweed Deluxe basically were designed for each other. They're pretty much from the same era....

What amazed me was the ability to pull tones from any era out of this combination. Classic rock and country were a given, but I wasn't expecting Van Halen style shred, Edge/U2 atmospherics, and brutal, grinding techno/industrial. Eats up pedals, and provides an excellent base layer for plugins etc. laid across it after. Nothing it can't do.

The producer was literally crying.

I had the good fortune to hear tristan four times during the We Will Rock You run. I had goosebumps on the opening number each time. I'd love to hear his work on the Deluxe.

Ditto. Apparently, clippage is being prepared from this session. Sure hope so!

Hey Tristan, very cool story. It is clearly a super flexible amp but 2 albums is even beyond my wildly optimistic dreams. Well done. I think the time coco and heyboer put into the transformers was well worth it.

BTW, sounds like you were working the WWRY show with my former bandmate Sterling (fantastic singer). I know I should have caught the show.

Cheers

Is there still a possibility of hearing some clips from this?

What's the name of the band? I'd love to hunt around on YouTube for clips . . .

I cant remember the band Tristan played ssession on. The speaker was, IMO, the gold standard for the Tweed - Tone Tubby Alnico.

I think that track rufutes the notion that the Deluxe isn't pedal friendly. I've always liked that song, pretty good cover of it too. For some reason I can't remember who does it originally??

Digging up an old thread here, but I was reading an article in Premier Guitar & one of the names rung a bell....so assuming there's not more than one Tristan Avakian running around......
