I have a fairly substantial buzz when a guitar cable is plugged in to any of the jacks on my Tweed.
The buzz goes away when I touch the chassis (see video).
This did not occur until after I added the VRM. I initially built the kit "stock", made sure there was no buzzing and tested/played for a while before adding the VRM module.
I left the 1M resistors on the input jacks when I added the VRM kit and capacitors, as per a couple of posts on the forum, to see how it sounded. The amp still sounds great other than this damn buzz!
To try and track down the cause of the buzz, I did the following:
I disconnected the input jack grounds and checked to make sure all the jacks were insulated from the chassis - they are.
I went through all the ground connections and made sure they all read no more than 0.3 ohms.
I also chop sticked the wiring to no avail.
Any ideas on where to look next?
Thanks!
EDIT: FYI, the VRM works well, no issues with the operation of that...
