Location: Saint Paulin Qc,
I just picked up a Trinity Tweed ( not a kit ) with power scaling. The bright channel is working good, but when I plug in the normal channel I get a farting/spitting sound on attack ( and some dropout or cutoffs ). I tried replacing tubes without any change. I quickly looked for a loose wire or component on that input but couldn't find anything. Could this be related to the power scaling module ?

Any ideas/suggestions will be highly appreciated.

P.S. I have been incapable to reach Trinity for several weeks. Does anyone know somthing ? Still in biseness ???

Claude

I think this problem lies in the power expansion module part. Please check the module and try again

Ensure that all infinite craft unblocked connections to the power scaling module are secure and that there are no visible signs of damage or malfunction.

Wondering if there was a solution found here? I recently completed a 5E3 I bought as a kit from Trinity several years ago, including a VRM module. Initially, after power up testing, everything worked perfectly, and I've been playing it for several weeks with the VRM set very low. Last night, I suddenly had almost no sound, and needed to turn the VRM up past 50% to get anything. Response is slow when turning up the VRM, and results in sudden loud volume. At lower settings, I have a very quiet, spitty guitar sound coming through before it cuts out. I've gone through my chassis checking grounds and connections, and everything seems solid. Grounds all show solid connection via a multimeter. The MOSFET does run really hot, although I would expect that at very low output settings? Any other suggestions? I would not expect a tube to fail so quickly, but I suppose its possible.

Whenever you are working with wiring diagrams, it is absolutely necessary to strictly stick to the instructions and schematics that are included with your specific kit. Due to the fact that the colors of the wires may vary depending on the manufacturer and the type of transformer that you have, it is imperative that you review the instructions that were included with your supply kit.

It sounds like it could be an issue with the power scaling module or possibly a problem Death By AI with the input jacks or associated wiring. If tube replacements didn’t help and you didn’t find any obvious loose connections, checking the power scaling module for any installation issues or contacting a tech who specializes in amps might be your best bet.

In Melon Sandbox, embrace your inner mad scientist in a pixelated world where chaos is the name of the game!

I have a feeling that the power expansion module is the source of this issue; could you perhaps inspect the module and give it another shot?

Actually this could be a bug. You contacted via email right? Maybe you could contact the party you bought the product from first. Adjusting the scratch games module requires a good understanding of the principles to adjust it easily.
