Update:

Our target launch date is March 27th to have the kits ready to ship. All the parts are packaged and we are waiting for the chassis and the transformers to arrive. The suppliers know the 27th is important to us and I have been in contact today for an update.

The launch date will coincide with Lawrence's gig at "The Hollywood" where he'll be using the original TRIWATT and many friends of Trinity Amps will be in the audience. Why not join us if you're in town?

:nervous:

Watch this space for updates!

I am going for Gilmour type setup with echo, reverb, lots of modulation, volume pedal, a buffer and 2 overdrive pedals. Lets me have the amp set on edge of distortion and drive it crazy with pedals while controlling the overall input volume (and thus the output volume) with a volume pedal. I usually go into a lower gain input of the amp and engage the overdrive boost. This way I can get feedback on clean tones and a great overdrive with pedals engaged. I will be using a Trinity 2x12 cab with Scumback SA12-75's (Celestion g12H30 Clones). They sound like really old celestions from the 60's. The voice of rock an roll.

As for guitars, we are looking at Gretsch 6120DC for the country twang and rockabilly, Historic Les Paul Custom for the rock, Tele just cuz and a Tokai SG tuned to open E for slide work.

Attached is the set list we are working that night. We have a female singer sitting in that night. She is doing some Cheryl Crowe, Heart and some Zep (not on the list yet). She has an exceptional voice. Exceptional.

We are rehursing Monday night so I will update you on now the setup sounds.

Here are the effects I am using for this gig.

This will be great. ROCK AND ROLL from Zep? Finally! Will the sound guy record any of this? It would be great to post some of this!

Ok so we had our last rehearsal before the gig last night. Did a little tweaking to of the setup but basically going with guitar, pedal board, amp, 2x12 cab. I must say that, after playing a two rock with a VEE in the loop (Very Expensive Echo), this setup is quite verstile, musical, easy to control and fairly hifi. Each pedal added value and sounded like itself.

Oh, and the freakin amp is LOUD. I had it nowhere near 50% throttle and I was more than loud enough for all my parts solo's included.

Each of the guitars I will use on Friday sound great. The Gretsch sounded surprisingly good. I was concerned because that guitar doesn't like every amp I plug it into. With the TW, it was plug and play. Cool. I will be using that guitar on the stray cats, Crowe and some of the Hip and tom petty tunes. Anything that needs a twang or bigbsy or both. Great guitar.

I'm working now but I will try and do some clips of the various tones I can get from this setup before the gig on Friday.

Larry
