Because your curiosity level will gradually get worse, like an itch that won't go away.
Then you'll try the 6V6s and probably end up putting the KT66s straight back in.
More seriously, if you put in 6V6s you will probably find they're brighter than your KT66s, so most likely you will want ti change the TS 12AX7s out to something less bright.

You're dead right, on both counts - assuming you're using 6V6 power tubes. KT66s are darker and will balance nicely with the TS 12AX7s.
