With the master volume all the way down everything seems fine. As soon as I start turning it up, it starts to compress and fart out. I'm not sure of the correct term but it doesn't sound very good at all. Could it be anything to do with the high voltages?

V5 pin3 = 462, pin 4 = 434, pin 5 = -40

V6 pin3 = 464, pin 4 = 434, pin 5 = -40

C18 = 300
C19 = 333
C20 = 434
C21 = 466

Yes, it was the 2 wires going to the power tubes from the transformer. I reversed them and it was good to go.
