Hey gang.
I'm hoping for some help with my amp-camp Tramp build.
I was able to get my amp working from the start, which was great -- I've been playing it daily and loving it.
Today, I mounted the amp in the cabinet and was running it through a 12" celestion gold and it sounded superb. Very very nice. But, then there was a fizzle and then no sound.
I quickly turned the amp off. After checking all connections, changing speaker cables and guitar cords, switching the 6L6 for a 6V6 , there was still no sound.
The LED lights up, the tubes glow, the fuse is intact, but nothing comes out of the speaker.
Any suggestions on what might be wrong?
Thanks in advance.

assuming the speaker out was set to the right impedance

if you heard a sizzle it will be obvious once you look inside

or you might be able to determine a problem with a chopstick

Speaker and output were both 8ohms.
Nothing obviously wrong on the inside -- Nothing fried, leaking, or exploded...

I'd look at tubes. Do you have any you can try?

FIXED! :happydance:

It was simply a faulty 12AX7 -- Usually those JJs are much more robust. I swapped one from another amp and it sings again.

Thanks for the advice, Stephen. I should have known to not only check to power tube, but the pre-amp as well.
Now, back to guitar playing.

Also, as it turns out, the JJ 6V6 was microphonic as well :x
I've always had good experience with JJs, so this is a bit disappointing...

Usually the JJs are fine too. Rare to have two new one in the same amp go south.

But you are up again, that's the good news.
