I'm showing my ignorance of reading schematics here, but I have a problem on my Tramp I'm hoping somebody can answer. I knocked off one of the lugs on the back of the power switch. There is supposed to be one line running from the switch to the fuse and the other from the switch to the Line side of the terminal strip. Can I use the same lug for both wires or do I need to buy a new switch? or do I have some other option??

Thanks!!

Mike

Welcome to the forum Mike.

I recently built my first guitar amp (a Tramp), so wait for the experts for the definitive answer. However I think you will have to buy a new switch.

Seems to me that if you use the same lug for both wires you will wind up with an amp which is permanently on. To shut it off, you would have to pull the cord from the wall outlet because soldering the two wires to the same lug would defeat the on/off function of the switch.

I'm afraid you're right... thanks for the response. I was just hoping somebody had some magic way of fixing my situation! Off to order my switch replacement.. ;-)
