I want to build a tramp like amp but have no money for a $380 dollar kit. I dont know where to start to even begin to fabricate said amp... What do i do?

Your going to need a chassis and transformers. Do you have access to used parts etc? If not do you have the skills etc. to cut and bend your own chassis? Search the net for these parts and also places like MoJo for chassis and trannies. I think you'll soon discover that $380 is a good deal.

I would echo Stew's comments. These kits are really great value and unless you have tons of skills and a great supply of good materials and parts (not even taking into account the transformers) you won't get the results. There's more to these designs than just schematics. Wait and save up for it. You'll be happy you did. Good luck.

It's for a senior project in high school... My mentor is an amp tech and has plenty of parts available for this... Just need to get a good idea of where to start.
