Hi, I recently completed a Tramp kit, what a marvelous, fun little amp. Great job Trinity. I have been running it through 2x12's in my Pro Reverb, beautiful sounding amp. I am hoping to build a 2x10 combo cab in which to install this amp, my question concerns speaker connections. If I have two 8 ohm speakers, should I connect them in series or parallel? A series connection would give me the ability to connect an extension speaker, but would this connection cause a change in output volume?

Thanks, Dave.

The Tramp has an o/p impedance switch. So two 8 ohm speakers in series will give you 16 ohms so you'd set the switch to 16. Then if you add extension cab(s) they'd be in parallel with that so you'd switch down to 8 or 4.

Thanks for the comment, glad you like it.

Stoo is correct, if you want an extension cab, go for the series connection and adjust the impedance acordingly.
