Would a choke in a tramp do anything? I modded an old bogen that actually had 2 chokes,probably because bigger caps were expensive back then. It had great presence and compression. Say a 5h or so.

A choke will do nothing in a single ended amp like the Tramp.

The Tramp is very quiet and tight by itself. If you want to "brown it out" that's what the VRM is for! :happydance:
