I have a 6V6 to EL84 socket adapter for my TRAMP, but need some advice on how to set the Bias and the Load (output transformer) switches to use the EL84 power tube. I found a vintage Mullard EL84 (rx1 R9A) in my Dad’s garage and want to try it out without burning up anything.

Bias is either HIGH (EL34) or LOW (6V6)

Load is either 2.5K (EL34) or 5K (6V6)

Brian

What adapter do you have? There are various brands and models within each brand that are for specific applications. They are not plug-n-play for all amp types.
