I found a cheap price on this iron at Angela.com. I kinda got excited and thought I found cheap iron for a DC-30 clone. I saw the words for Vox Matchless and 30 watts and the rest was my impulsiveness. Might get the delivery today.

I placed the order and was pretty proud of myself untill I saw the tranny for a DC-30 on WestLabs.com didn't have taps on the B+ like the one I just bought. Oh well I made a $79.00 mistake that will probably lead into spending more money and building yet another amp. Oh well.

BTW it seems this Matchless tanny is for a forty watt Clubster with two EL34's.

Hey Stephen, Your other posting about Matchless PS tranny's being the same size is also true for this Chiefton/Clubster tranny I mistakenly ordered. It is the same size as the DC-30 tranny.

BTW the the taps seem to be for 350-350 and 325-325 volts for the B+. Could be kinda cool to have your B+ switchable by using a double pole double throw switch with the center off as a Standby Switch.

I wonder why Matchless didn't use this on the DC-30.

Laydown, shipping was about $35-40 but that was with the chassis, board kit and other parts I ordered too.

I guess being in australia we have to import our trannies etc, so Ceri@tone works favourably for us both in cost of product and cheaper shipping than from the U.S.
