Independence is a curious thing, isn't it? We like as much as we can get, fight for it when we don't have it, write inspiring speeches and philosophize about it. And yet we are all dependent upon many people and institutions, and should be joyful about it, I think.

God who gives us breath, parents who cared for us and raised us, nations we often criticize yet which protect us and give us many good things, great musicians who mentor and inspire and enrich us, and great friends - including the gifted and helpful people on this forum - who help us make our way along the path!

To you all I raise my tubesteak and my overflowing stein! Enjoy the day and the life full of blessings.

I just saw a public station show. basically 20 % of Canada came from the US (Still came from England) so cool. No wonder we get along :) :) :)
