Any of you guys have any experience with these. From what I understand you build a large, deep 2x12 closed back cab and only install one speaker in it :?
Apparently Kevin O'Conner likes em'. What say ye' lads?

Yes it does. Like I say , I don't know much about it but I thought I might give it a try if I ever get my head up and running.

I heard this is done, but really no experience with it. I should try it but I tend to have open back cabs which don't work in detuned mode. People say detuned cabs can be louder, have more fullness to its tone, more bass, more highs. Also some 'reverb' effect.

Worth a try if you have a 2xx closed back around.

I happen to like open back cabs, is all!

Your huge open backs are the best :)

Thanks, I do prefer the open back sound, but have been known to crank up a Marshall 1960

I havn't tried a true detuned but I took out 1 speaker in my 2-12 closed back cab. Sounds good.... and it's lighter :)
