Boy - lots of toys lately!

I've been looking for a nice playing Tele for a few weeks but couldn't find anything locally. I must have played 25-30 ranging from Sqier Classic Vibes to American Deluxes and I detested every one of them. I think my cousin's '69 has me spoiled. :) I dropped in to L&M today and they had a coupel of Mexi's in stock. This one really grabbed me. Plays real nice and even has some light flame in the neck.

Like most of the Mexi's the fret ends are a little rough, but that's an easy fix. Other than that it plays great. It's also a VERY quiet axe, especially for single coils. Got it home, threw a fresh set of 10's on there and it's very yummy!

I've been tempted to talk to Andrew about it...but if I go custom I'm going off the rails with it. Don't have THAT much coin to throw around right now! :) Plus I'm sure he has plenty to keep him busy for the next few months!

Nice Kirb :D

The Classic Vibe holds up good with my other Teles...especially for $385

My other new toys are nice as well 8)

You're a freakin MACHINE Keith! :)

I'm mulling some other toys also - and I REALLY have to get something done with that old bass amp.

BTW, don't recall if I mentioned it but Rick threw in a used Snarling Dogs Blues Bawls wah/OD with it. It's...interesting. My modded Dunlop JH-1 flat out kills it though so I'll probably flip it. Can't believe those things cost $200 new...

Nice axes :)

My favorites are these, the Encore tele copy plays well and the pups are very nice sounding for about 250. The spalted maple carved top tele is my most played. Set mahoghany neck and body with spalted maple carved cap and 15" radius board. Seymore Duncan hbuckers with a pull/push switch on the tone control to split the coils for single coil action. I modified it so normal is single coil and pulled is hbucker. The vintage icon strat copy is a dream to play with what I think are some of the best sounding single coils I have heard.

And I am not quite sure what will come from this, still plotting.
