:?: I am looking for some input from those who have some experience with drum machines. I am looking for one that I can just use at home to jam along with and practice. What have other users been pleasantly surprised with? You know the standard best bang for your buck sounds great, easy to use and versatile.

What I am wanting to do is to have something play a drum track (blues/rock) and then somehow I want to lay down a rhythm track so that I can work on lead. I don't have any recorders and what not so any helpful advice on that would be greatly appreciated...Is there an all in one machine?

Thanks!

Dave.

I've been using the same Alesis drum module since the early 90's. Studio use only, but no problems ever.
How about a computer and a simple sequencing program? Lots of choices out there these days.

Do you have a computer and sequencer that you use?

Thanks for the input. I want to eventually use a computer for a drum machine and recording but for now I went with the Zoom RT-223. It seemed to have good reviews for the dollar.

Check out the AudioBox USB from Presonus.
It come with Studio One Artist which is an easy to use DAW
It has a decent library of add ons one of which is Impact:A virtual drum machine.
Revolution Audio currently have them for $190 so I expect the brick and morter price should be close.

Moved Topic. Our new music room could use a drum machine! It's got everything else!

Actually, thats a good thing because I am starting to look for one that dosen't need me to have my laptop around.
I am just starting to look. As I know the complete stock of the local music store. It might
be time for a tour of Mothers or L&M among the several I end up in when I do a roadtrip. And its looking like its time for a roadtrip.
