Can anyone provide me with the best way to install grillcloth around the corners of a baffle board? I would like to wrap the cloth around all 4 edges of the baffle board as neat as possible. There won't be any piping between the valence and baffle board when I'm done. Also should I glue this stuff down, or just staple it on the backside?

I tried the link from the tutorial on Silvatones site, but it no longer works. I've also gone to Casey4's site, but I can't find anything there either.

Thanks in advance
Chappy

Thanks for the link. I also found another one done by "Southbay Ampworks". The builder has put two great tutorials on the "Gearpage" forum which are chocked full of images.

"Grillcloth 101 installation" or "Tolex 101 installation" or this thread

I noticed that he attaches his grillcloth to the edges of the baffle boards with numerous staples. Is this the way that you do it too? I'm just wondering that this amount of holes in the end of the plywood might start to split the ply's a bit as time goes on.

Have you tried making or already seen professional baffle boards with the staples put on the backside of the baffle instead?

I use baltic birch. Stapling into the edge is not a problem. I also staple piping onto that edge as well and it holds up fine.

I have seen it done both ways. Stapled to the side & rear. I think the side is cleaner.

Thanks. I'll keep it simple and just staple along the edges.
