I'm looking to sell my '68 Fender Super to pay for my next project (a 15 maybe?) and I was wondering if I should replace the lame oxford ceramics. I don't want to lose money on the deal, I'm guessing that the original speakers would be more desirable for a buyer, as weak as they may be. Would Jensen reissue c10qs be enough to upgrade it in the eyes of a buyer?
I will be replacing the baffle with birch plywood, as the particle board is cracked and vibrates. I assume this would be in order.
Is there anything else I should do to maximize my return? (I recapped it already)
I wouldn't mind if you advise me to keep it, I love the amp! (but then I gotta upgrade those speakers!
