I have some questions regarding reverb and tremolo circuits. I’m somewhat familiar with Marshall amps but Fenders are new to me and I’m trying to learn.

I’m getting information together for an amp project I’m planning. This is going to be long, so I apologize now, and thanks for the help.

Reverb:
I get the impression that the 2 ½ tube, 3 knob circuit of the 6G15 stand alone reverb is “better soundingâ€

I wouldnt say the stand-alone sounds better but you do have more control over the sound. Most combos have one and maybe 2 controls. That seems to be enough.

The Fender circuit is the reference for 'surf'. If I was going to do the real deal, I'd probably do a 2 knobber. [but I have a stand-alone too!]
Never heard the other versions so can't speak to that.

IMO, the best Trem is the 18 watt, or there is a VOX one that is very good as well. I did hear a Princeton reverb which was very good as well. These had nice smooth controllable sound with no flutter or whoosh.
