Here is a mocked up picture of what we envision the Trifly head to look like.
Sorry about the poor quality but no artist on staff!!
Size is about 11"W X 4.5"D X 6"H

Cool project.

Looking at the lunchbox you got going on... cool would be a plexi window in it so that the tubes are visible...gimicky yes..but still cool imo.

Yeah, good idea but probably too much work and expense . However, we will Try to make the tubes more easily visible!

First...yes - I'm still alive! Life has been getting in the way lately...well, life and my other hobbies! I've barely had a guitar in my hands the last few months.

Looks like another pretty cool toy in the works! Can't wait to see the end result. I will likely be one of your early builders again. :)

Nice to hear you again Darrin. Yes, this is one cool little amp. The simpler it gets, the better it gets.
still waiting on the chassis guy to build the prototype cage, but it is close. More slots in front and rear to see through.

I like it!

It's like a mix between a cool lunchbox and toolbox.

Really cool. Can't wait to hear clips or maybe even youtube videos from the eventual production version. Really curious how the tone(s) will compare to the various 1 watt Marshalls that came out a couple years ago.

Not going to be the really high gain sound, but it's getting there on the lower gain side. Of course we are not trying to emulate a Marshall sound. We've done that with the 18 watt series and Tramp on 'tude!
We are aiming for a great tone at a low power. And since it takes pedals so well, you can get anything you want. And we Know You like Pedals!

Here's a picture of the cage before it gets all bent into shape.

Here is a picture of the new Trifly head. Next step is to install some electronics into it and play it.

Wow... that is awesome. That makes me want to buy one just for that enclosure!

It needs blue light shining from the inside... and a built-in fog machine...

OK getting carried-away with the fog, but seriously, some lighting effects showing through those cutouts would be awesome. Maybe some 6.3v lamps so the user can change the jewels to whatever color they like?

Hmm, that's an idea. Thanks. We did think about that.We will try some LEDs inside and see if they are bright enough. My guess is not in the daytime but worth a try..maybe even try a jewel lamp type as you suggested.
