BREAKING NEWS

There have been so many requests that we are now working on an OSD kit! The design so far is a single board plus a relay board rather than the typical multiple multiple boards you see in such amps.
It will support 6V6 AND 6L6 power tubes. Two button footswitch with PAB & OD controls. No FET input but it will have an option for a buffered effects loop.
Same controls as our current OSD offering but in a more builder friendly package. Chassis size is a 17" W X 2.5" X 8" D

If you are interested in reserving one of the first production run, please email stephen@trinityamps.com to get on the list. Target price including Heyboer Custom transformers in the 650-70 USD range plus shipping. International power supply capability as well.

This will not be a Dumble clone but it is based very closely on slightly tweaked #124 schematic with less frills.

Status: Currently we have the first layout, schematic, BOM with selected parts done and the blank chassis and transformers have arrived for #1.

This looks fun! Still saving up for the 18 TMB...planning a wedding and SWMBO is paying extra special attention to the bank account. Looking forward to that as well as this tone machine Stephen!

More progress towards the kit. Next step is to punch the chassis and make the eyelet board.
We will be building the first prototype mid-Septmeber.

We used the "Headphone Trick" to establish the best location for the transformers.

"First set up the power transformer. Wire up the primaries to a power cord, but do not wire up any secondaries-- tape the ends of the secondaries.

Now set up the signal transformer (output, reverb, whatever). Hook one set of OT secondaries, the highest impedance and ground, to a set of headphones. Tape the primary leads.

Put the headphones on, plug in the power cord, and start moving the signal transformer around. Try it all over the chassis, and also rotate it. While you might expect the least hum with the transformers as far from each other as possible and at right angles (and that may be the case for you), it might come at an odd angle and/or position. Sometimes the least hum occurs when the transformers are side by side. When you find the quietest spot, use a permanent marker to mark where the mounting holes should be."

Ive got some serious GAS going on for this kit! Ive eyeballed all the schematics and layouts many times but always moved on to something else. This looks like it will be worth waiting on rather than going some other route. . . Joe

We resisted developing a kit because we thought it would be too difficult to build. But we figure we could re-design it to make it simpler for experienced builders.
You should have gas for it!

This looks really, really interesting. I have built several ODS amps and I was actually about to embark on a 124 build. Looking forward to development!

No, he dropped his pedals when he uses the OSD.
