I've been enjoying my OSD kit for a few years and I just wondered what if?? I think the PT is ok for the extra filament load.
Would EL34s work with a slight wiring change??

The EL34 can be used with a few minor changes in the amplifier wiring as it is compatible with most amplifiers using octal bases.

Due to the fact that it is compatible with the majority of amplifiers that employ octal bases, the EL34 can be utilized with only a few simple modifications to the amplifier's wiring.
