What is the voltage level and source impedance at the TripTop's pre out?

1.25 Vrms (+4 Dbu) @ amp output clip, unbalanced, post volume control.
( same as B15 Heritage spec)

Is there a vetted mod using transformer coupling from the preamp to get a 600 Ω output? I have a lot of UTC, ADC and Triad iron that may work. A mod for an original B15 or the TripTop.

I've been looking into this as well. have started another thread about it.
the post preamp sound would likely be fine for what I'm aiming for but I am more interested in the final output stage into line level. a toggle switch from preamp to speaker signal would be nice too. balanced 600 ohm xlr out.

I finally pulled the trigger and bought a trip top kit. Planned use is in my home studio at manageable volumes. I would like to mod the line out to have a 1:1 ratio UTC A20 which should give me a balance 600 Ω output. I plan on a toggle switch that would lift the 6L6GC kathode to save to output transformer. Is there anything I’m missing with this plan? Impedance changing?
