Hi Everyone,

This is my first build ever.
A 18 watt plexi.

So the first day passed pretty quickly.
Just trying to get an overview....
This is what it looks like so far........

Image

I aslo started on mounting the chassis.
But i have spend most time reading and watching Kendrick video,
and i am now trying to get to know my multimeter.

Also trying to improve my workspace,i realise i need more light.
Anyway, many questions to come along the way i am sure.
But so far so good.

Thanks

Nicolai

Finished the turret board i think...
Made a few newbie mistakes along the way,cut one resistor to short, and in general it could be more neat, but in all i think its ok.......
Please point out errors,thanks:-)

I am going to use 240 V as standart.
I asume i have to use the 240 V wire from the PS,and change the indicator to a 240 V.
Is that right, and is there anything else to take into consideration.

Thanks,

Looks correct. es sure the jumpers under the board are correct and those parts are soldered in well. some look like they could use some extra heat & a touch of solder.

For the 240V, be sure to check out the 240V layout here:

... and you might want to use some of the cut-offs from the PT installation for the board ground & B+ supply leads. That's what I do.

Also,i am trying to understand how to check voltages, but to my newbie brains it is not very clear.......

Thanks for your patience.

Filament is another name for the heater for each tube.

To measure DC, Clip your negative lead to the chassis and use the other probe to touch the point of interest.

For AC, use both leads across two AC wires.

No, heaters are inside tubes. The transformer provides AC to heat them up.

Finished yesterday.
Checked and double checked, and found 2 errors.

Pluggged in,and whadaya know.It worked....

So far it is the best amp i have heard.
Crystal clear clean sound.
Tested with a BBQ 12F150 in an open cabinett,it sound absolutely awesome.
Can't wait to gig with this thing.
But i have to make a kabinet first...

Thanks for all advise and help.

Her are the pics.

Well done sir. Congratulations now we have a working Trinity Amp in Bangkok. For the record it took you from 02 Sep 2008 to 07 Sep 2008

Very decent indeed and a pretty neat build too. Next one??

Glad you like it would like to hear some clips since you have studio going there at Paradise Productions

Why thank you master coco.

Well,i'd like to do a Hiwatt 100,but the kits i have found so far,are pretty expensive.

Might just do a T15,since i've been looking at a DC30 build as well.
Who knows.

Or a high gain og some sorts.

But for npw i want to try some of the mods first.
And fix the bassman.
