I'm following Stephens start up procedure. The Rect and power tube sockets measure correct with only a rectifier tube installed.

Only the preamp tube socket pins are measuring 365!!!

anyhoo, I'll take some photos.

If anyone has any ideas, much appreciated.

Thanks

So I searched the forum for potential answers and took a few more measurements.

First - the tranny never got hot & nothing ever smelt like burning...

With no tubes installed, pins 1 & 7 of the rectifier tube sockets read 270 each & 590 across the 2 pins.
the heaters all measure 6.63 across.

I install the rectifier tube & connect a speaker. turn on the amp & flip stand by
When I measured the filter cap tabs, they both read 364.

Any ideas?

No current is flowing through the circuit. Install the tubes. Then try again.

If the tubes are actually installed, What DCV are the cathodes pin 3, 8 measuring? Sounds like no current is flowing ithrough V1.

Rest sounds good.

Yay - solved the issue with v2 - broken wire!

Now if I can just figure out why the B+ on the filter caps is low.

The amp sounds great, the trannies don't get hot, but he low voltage worries me.
