Hey everyone, this is my first post.

I am thinking about building the sIII Plexi but I want to do a few modifications to it. I was wondering...

A) What would be the best way to do internally jump the two channel inputs? I want just one input jack that feeds both channels (I don't need hi vs low either).

B) How much difference does the 6V6 make in the sound vs el84s (especially as far as top and low end)? I love the top end on the clips that I have heard of the el84 plexi, how does the 6v6 compare? If there are any clips- please point me in the right direction.

Thanks,
Anthony

Hi Anthony, welcome to the forum!

There are many sound clips available in the "Clippage" section comparing the various Trinity models and configurations with various speaker types, etc. You should be able to find what your listening for there.

As far as the linked input, perhaps the 3-way arrangement from the upcoming Triwatt could be applied to other models as well. Info on this in the "Triwatt" section.

Happy reading, and listening :D

Thanks Joe- do you know where I could find a layout of the TRIWATT? I didn't find anything on the inputs other than a description- which looks great.

The Triwatt schematic isn't posted yet AFAIK, but perhaps one of it's creators will chime in here on the linked input configuration...?

Yes, the Input is very cool. The layout is not posted yet. If I get a minute, I'll post that part of the schematic.
