VRM mode question for new V6 Dual Power Tube:
For VRM mode, if inputs are scratchy when VRM is on lower settings, I took the 1mg resistor off the input jacks and used them on V1 pin 2 and 7 to ground;
question, do I put jumper wires where the 1mg resistors were on the input jacks?

Thanks
Dave in Portland Ore.

Sorry, didn't realize you had seen that reference.

My guess is no jumper on the input jack, hopefully Stephen will show up and tell us for sure.

Rwmove the 1M only, leave the link on the jack that went to ground from the end of the 1M resistor.

I got the input mod done but both my amps Vrm don't work but the amps work, the V6 is too loud without VRM or master V for an apt.

I figure you probably have already checked this, but are you sure you have the insulator between the VRM module and the amp chassis?

The module needs to be isolated from the chassis.

Can you put up some pictures of the install? That would help in determining what the problem is so that we can help you get it up and running. :D :D

It's amazing how loud 18 watts can be

I have my SIIIv6 set with the gain (volume) around 10 o'clock and the volume (MV) set about 2 o'clock and keep the volumes on my LP back around 5 and it's plenty loud in my house.

If I open everything up, there's stuff rattling all over the house :D :D :D

Yes, the V6 will shake rattle and roll the Apartment, love it :D but if the floor shakes wow.
I have good neighbors that get pissed if i don't practice my guitar but this might get old for them. there is a post at the front of this forum that tills where i'm at on the VRM, I did put the heat sink (gray pad) Under the mossfit and elictric tape under the eyelets so it's not shorting out. the V6 sii had no sound till i took the VRM out of the circuit then everything worked.
The TC15 has sound and works fine and the VRM is till in the Circuit but doesn’t work.
:?
I'll look at it monday
thanks for the reply
Dave
