Hello all,

been gigging with my plexi head for a few months now, but have a problem that has developed.

When i hit a G (low E string, 3rd fret) or anything right around it i get this crackle and a tremelo effect. If i play anywhere else it's fine except for an F through a Bb (all on the low E string)- they all get that eggs frying crackle and have a volume in/out thing.

where do i start with that?

Both channels? I've seen a weak solder joint do something like that. So determine which channel, start with some tube swaps on the bad channel.

It is on both channels. I chopsticked (new verb) and found a loosish joint under the board. I'll fix it and report back.
