 Post subject: squealing on tmb channel

when the gain and volume are dimed it squeals. Any Ideas? It does not do this on the other channel

It's also in the Troubleshooting section of the manual.

Check the colors of your OT wires to the output tubes compared to the layout. You may need to reverse them if lead dress doesnt solve the problem.

When I move the 470k directly to pin 2 do I put a jumper in the place where it was on the board?

I dont understand the shielded wire to the volume pot. Does this mean the wire from the center terminal of the volume pot to the .022uf cap on the board which then goes to pin 2 v3? Sorry, Im a little confused.

Mine does too ( a little) but only when the two HI inputs are linked which I don't think will ever happen in real life.

The post is for a TMB but the principle is similar. Anyway, you should have used the co-ax already to pin 2.

Are the OT leads color orientation correct. Blue to V5, Brown to V4?

I would turn it on, get some squealing going, and carefully take a 'wooden' chop stick and move the to the tube leads around a bit and see if it goes away. Start with the PI leads as they are longest.

If you post a picture that would help.
