How did I miss this post!!

Super cool. Love it. That would be so cool on stage too!

Is it all working now? I'd love to see the gut details & the pics.

Oh so cool    8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)
I'm going to place the heat shrink as you did on my Triwatt on the board, I'm curious, since the Triwatt is so sensitive to lead dress
Gotta get those radio waves the heck outta there

Oh, and take the night lite and make a Trinity label that the colors will show through.
Be absolutely incredible on stage.

Very cool ; very cool

Out of curiosity I'm not understanding the power supply!

You have a single rackmount for the amp. The power supply is in a different chassis. Does that take a2 more mounts to house that separately?????     :? :? :? :? :? :? :? :?
You know me takes the old sledge hammer to work now

Thanks
Sorry

Thanks Jac.
I wanted this rack format for my own studio use, since space is at a premium at Velour™ Studios. I just don't have the room for combo's and/or amps and various speaker cabs piled everywhere. This will allow me to play and work the controls right from the mix position and mic up a cab in my iso-booth while monitoring the amp through the system and hear it just as it will sound recorded.
To answer your question, yes, the rack section and PSU are 2 different chassis and will be connected via a fairly intricate Mil-spec cable. I'm hoping to get the PSU in the bottom of the rack somewhere since I'm controlling all power, etc. from the "head" section via relay anyway. I have some concerns still about this design but I'm remaining optimistic :D

Stephen, the rack unit is nearly done, just some very simple wiring left. Pics will come soon hopefully...

How will you deal with the AC (=noise) heater voltage or will you use DC for the heaters or a seperate transformer for that inside the rack chassis?

Right now I'm planning a separate shielded/twisted pair in the PSU to heater interface cable for the heaters. If I have noise problems I can balance the heater supply or go the DC route if need be. I'll try the simple approach first :o

it's a cool idea, and a great looking amp.
And everyone will want it like the "Triwatt", because. How cool will it be to put a tube "Trinity" in a rackmount, SWEET!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D
