I read the troubleshooting guide in the manual and I have a couple of questions:

When I move the 470k directly to pin 2 do I put a jumper in the place where it was on the board?

I dont understand the shielded wire to the volume pot. Does this mean the inner wire of the coax goes from the center terminal of the volume pot to the .022uf cap on the board and then the shielding gets grounded to the back of the pot which then goes to pin 2 v3? Sorry, Im a little confused.

If anyone has a pic of this I would appreciate it.

Jon

Shielding gets grounded, but only on one side. Connect the core of the coax as specified in your schematic (wiper on the pot to the cap... or whatever). The shielding provides no connectivity for the circuit, whatsoever.

Good point. If you ground it at both ends, bad things are sure to happen. On all our designs there should be no squealing if the layout is followed.

If you post a picture, we can all look it over!
