Hey guys,
For doing mods, changes and rebuilds where do most people purchase their parts from? I have a build completed but now I want to go into mod mode but need to pick up a bunch of capacitors and resistors. There is always Mouser and Digikey but it takes hours to find what you are looking for. I love to find out where other builders and modders source their bits from.

Thanks -Terry

For tube amp stuff
Antique Electronic Supply, Hoffman Amps and Mojo Music Supply are all good.

 on the above.
If you order small stuff they ship via the postal service. UPS sucks!

There's also Small Bear Electronics as well. Out of Brooklyn, NY. Nothing much to report for Canadians.

There are two places around the Gordon Baker Rd area in Toronto, where you can get general electronics stuff from, although nothing tube specific.

Electro Sonic - http://www.e-sonic.com/acc/home.aspx

SAYAL Electronics -http://www.sayal.com/index.asp

I prefer Sayal's self-service system to the long waiting times at Electro Sonic.

There's a small place in Scarborough that I've never tried, and appears to sell tube-related stuff - http://www.justradios.com/

Edit: it seems they're no only selling resistors and caps... :(

You also sometimes used to be able to get tube amp components from this guy who lived at Jane & Bloor, but he's unfortunately moved out of town now ;) :(

BTW I see you're in Ajax. I go over to Ajax quite frequently to visit family.

In that case, then Sayal is definitely the best place to go in the GTA. It's a huge place with a wide selection of components. They actually have a few branches around the GTA.

Just Radios is mail order only, and as mentioned, Esonic storefront is gone, just mail / internet only.
Sayal is good .
There is another store in downtown Toronto, Supremetronic, locted within the College Home Hardware store at College/Spadina. Desk sales only.

Downtown Toronto has a few good places
Honson Computers (Home Hardware)
Creatron Electronics (Sell JJ tubes and a few other tube related things)
Active Surplus (they have gone downhill in the last few years though)

Hey guys, thanks for all the recommends. Sayal has been the main place I have gotten parts from in the past just looking for something a bit more "amp" centric. My shipment from Hoffman arrived today. Long weekend coming up time to heat up the soldering iron and do some mods.

Thanks again for all the input.
