i was playing my TMB when all of a sudden the volume cut out...i've switched the pre-amp tubes but still no sound...it was at that point i realized that none of the tubes were glowing...

i have the 6.3V at the PT...and lose it at the first power tube...

i've never "blown" a tube before...so, in terms of christmas lights...if the power can't get past one, the ones after won't work...so...i'm guessing the first power tube has failed and is killing the heater current...

is that logical?

There more like newer better Christmas lights where if you loose 1 the others keep twinkling ;)
Any way you can go back to the start up voltage check and pull all the tubes and check your heater voltage at all sockets

i played the amp twice last week...for an hour each time and nothing happened...

last night i took the tubes out and checked the voltages...everything was reasonable...heaters had current...put the tubes back in and turned it on...and now it seems to work...

i couldn't play it cuz of the hour...but i'll put it through some paces at lunch and see what happens...
