Anyone have thoughts on covering the tube filament wires with conductive film to reduce 60 hz hum? Same stuff commonly used to shield guitar electronics....???

Using conductive film, like the shielding material often used in guitar electronics, could potentially help reduce 60 Hz hum by acting as a Faraday cage to block electromagnetic interference. However, effectiveness depends on the quality of the film and how well it’s applied. Make sure it's grounded properly, as shielding only works if it has a path to discharge the unwanted interference. It’s worth testing, but also consider other common noise reduction methods, such as grounding the tube circuit properly or using a hum eliminator.

Using conductive tape (like copper) over 6.3V heater wires can help reduce 60Hz hum by shielding, but it must be properly grounded to work effectively. The tape needs to be heat-resistant and securely applied. However, twisting the wires and routing them away from sensitive areas is usually a more effective method for reducing hum.
